The Fear of Failure
The Berghs’ Exhibition, an event organized by the Berghs School of Communication, took place last month in Stockholm, Sweden. During four days, students and professionals discussed about a universal theme: the fear of failure.
Like many others, I was particularly inspired by Milton Glaser‘s video.
Here is an extract that I found particularly eyes opening: ‘I believe Picasso is the most useful model that you can have in terms of your artistic interest. Because whenever Picasso learned how to do something, he abandoned it. And as a result of that, in terms of development as an artist, the results were extraordinary.‘
Any filmmaker trying to make a movie, to sell a project or just to put the first word a blank page might find some comfort in Glaser and his peers’ words.
