Looking for a job in the Industry? Try Twitter…
I keep being amazed by Twitter‘s potential as a professional tool. To me there is no doubt that a twitter account is a must have when you are or want to be in the Industry. Although it is hard to explain to a non-user the benefits of having one, and to many it might just seem like another way for people to talk about themselves, but when used properly a twitter account can become a killer weapon.
One of the major thing to understand with twitter is that who you follow is more important than how many people follow you. Of course having thousands – not to say millions – of followers is an asset, but to take my humble case, as small as my account might seem, it is a constant provider of knowledge and I would close my Facebook account without blinking if I had to choose between the two.
Twitter is for instance a great way to keep up with jobs opportunities. Here are five accounts that I recommend to keep up with jobs whether it’d be gigs in L.A. or writing jobs.
And to discover a bit more about what can a twitter account can do for you, I recommend you listen to Social Media & The Writer Round Table Part 1 and Part 2 hosted by Gray Jones, with Joshua Stecker, Jamie Livingston and Jeanne Veillette Bowerman.
