Special Effects in Game of Thrones: A New Appreciation of The Actors’ Work
Unsurprisingly, a lot of work was performed in post-production for the HBO show. As seen above, a lot of shots show actors working with fans and blue-screen, later transformed into fantastic settings.
It was for me a good reminder of the hard work actors are putting nowadays to live and play a situation that is only in their mind and, in a way, closer to the stage experience but without the adrenaline provided by the live experience. Although the wardrobes surely help being in their character, seeing the final result might have been an interesting experience for the cast.
SPOILER ALERT: if you haven’t seen the first season and intend to, you might want to stop before it reaches 2 minutes and 42 seconds.
The second season will air in Spring 2012.
