Best Fatwa-Tweets

Apparently Salman Rushdie didn’t know the saying ‘For a Fatwa on Twitter, Insult The Wire‘ but screenwriter Damon Lindelof and author Ken Jennings did.
Rushdie, who is developing a TV show for Showtime opened up a bit too much during an interview and picked the wrong shows to spit on. Criticizing a show that is on the top 5 if not 3 of the majority of tv-buffs is a great way to annihilate them before starting your own show. Rushdie might have noticed that his strategy wasn’t the best one as he apparently nuanced his opinion via Twitter shortly after having received many fatwa tweets.

Best Drunken-Rant Tweets

If all the drunken rants could be that informative and entertaining, the Twitterverse would be a better place. Thanks to Christopher Mintz-Plasse you now know what to expect (and not to expect) if you actually decide to go watch The Thing.

Best Life-Is-Too-Short-Tweet
You’ve met Alison Flierl before on Best of the Tweets, and if you’re not following her yet, it’s your loss. Funny and a pro of the to-vs-too, who wouldn’t want to become her virtual friend?

Best Call-for-Action Tweets

Scandalized by the absence of Big Bang Theory guest-star Wil Wheaton in the list of nominees for the Peoples Choice Awards 2012, The Bloggess called for action, asking to crash the list by adding Wil Wheaton in the Other category.

Her call for action sparkled plethora of creative hashtags from the fans, my favorite one being Where there’s a will there’s a way. Brilliant.

If you feel like the Peoples Choice Award could use some Wil Wheaton presence, versus Justin Bieber for instance, click here.
