Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Clues #3 and #4 Released Simultaneously!
Sometimes in life you need to get obsessed with something lighter than Occupy Wall Street, and in my case it’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo treasure hunt/marketing campaign.
I will thus covered the campaign as often and quickly as I can, which should be possible if clues keep being spread sporadically. (The last one was five days ago.)
Wednesday seems to be the day to go crazy for the SPC team, as they release simultaneously two clues, one in Washington D.C. and one in Seattle!
Above is the picture published by Mouth Taped Shut, in low-res this time. Doesn’t matter because Tori VanTimmeren deciphered the sequence and Star Nubalo and Cody Fuller kindly explained to me how she (and they) did so.
So here we go, courtesy of Cody Fuller:
The first dot has lines on the right and bottom, forming a backward L. Well if you go up to the grid above it you find where the grid formed the same backward L and use that letter. As you can see that is where the first letter, ‘N’ is at.
One of the picture tagg was pigpen, and Star Nubalo pointed out that it refers to pigpen cipher, a geometric simple substitution cipher which exchanges letters for symbols which are fragments of a grid.
Using this technic, you obtain the word NO REGRET.
and this page opens:
The coordinates above take us to Washington D.C., right in front of Julia’s Empinadas. So here we go treasure hunters, you have a bit less than 7 hours to find out an envelope nearby a phone booth I’m guessing, that will highly probably lead you to flower #3.
Few minutes ago, Tori VanTimmeren aslo noticed that Comes Forth In The Thaw, the parallel website to What Is Hidden In Snow that until now was only showing snapshots of the trailer, had words appearing through the ice of a Daniel Craig picture:
This lead to:
The coordinates revealing that this time we’re going to Seattle!
8 hours to find flower #4 and help us fill up the grid, inhabitants of Seattle!
Thanks to the awesome MTS team of followers you just need to pick the flowers up now. We will be waiting for your happy tweets and pictures of the clues.
To be continued…
