A Look at The Birds’ Storyboard to Celebrate the Film’s 50th Birthday
Alfred Hitchcock is considered one of the Master of cinematic storytelling, and decades ago after his films came out, there are always something to learn and discover from them. Hitchcock talked at length with Truffaut about his work, and mentioned his love for the storytelling technique more than for content, but he also relied a great deal on storyboarding during pre-production.
Today is The Birds’ 50th Birthday and to celebrate this anniversary BFI published the storyboards created to prep the school attack sequence:
