If you have a twitter account and had access to an Internet connection today, it’s unlikely you’ve missed the #AddaWordRuinaMovie hashtag. It first appeared on my timeline from people attached to the film industry but then spread to people I have been following for other matters and, within hours, thousands of creative tweets were shared. The concept is pretty simple: add a word to a movie title and give it a spin that will likely ruin the entire concept of the initial movie.
I couldn’t quite figure out with certainty who started it,
but from several tweets sent to Elizabeth Banks and Judd Apatow, it seems like it all started here. Not that it matter much, but what matters more though, is that this hashtag created some serious joy around, and I was impressed by people’s enthusiasm and inspiration. So much so that I thought sharing a selection of my favorite (from the few hundreds I could check, and in no particular order) would be a good way to end this week.
I’m sure I missed plenty of great ones, so, what are your favorite ones? Share them in the comments section, this is just too good not to!
In the meantime, enjoy:
As Brainpicking says so well, donating = loving.
I spend around 30h per week working on mentorless.com to find articles that will interest all of us, write the newsletter and maintain the site (that would need much more of my time to improve, I agree). A lot of us can’t donate, but if you can, and feel this website deserves your help, any amount will make a difference.
