25 Unusual (but Accessible) Places to Stick a GoPro
In a few years, GoPro has managed to move from being the go-to camera for extreme sports to the must-have camera in filmmakers’ kit, and the favorite consumer’s camera for holidays. Small, solid, cheap and now offering up to 4K quality, this little tool has seduced many, but hasn’t turned up on screen as often as you would think.
After I did my 365 with a GoPro, several people around me got seduced by the idea of carrying a small camera in their bag, only to realize that it’s not as easy as RedBull makes it look like to get astonishing footage.
And yet, GoPro’s size and solidity are two assets that do make it an ideal tool to be playful and unlock creativity in storytelling. The video below, from Burger Fiction, shows 25 random but accessible places to stick a GoPro and capture footage.
Some of my favorites are on an actual mail, on the shower head (simple enough), on a chainsaw (oh, the potential…) and on a sliding garage door.
It goes without saying that most of these angles are unconventional, and to insert them seamlessly within a narrative would require some creative thinking, but that might just be where the fun lies.
