From the emails I receive and my experience as an Internet user, I’ve noticed that one of the hardest thing is to keep track of all the information available, and being able to pull them out when needed.
With over 800 articles available on mentorless and counting, I’m seeing valuable content being pushed and forgotten, when I know they could be useful and answer specific needs if one knew how to find them.
With that in mind, I’ve decided to create downloadable resources, that will allow you to keep track of what interests you and know where to look when needed. I’m starting with a series of articles that, over the years, form a nice package of knowledge for freelance filmmakers.
From learning how to build a story with non-fiction material to dealing with clients, handling lights or making sure you have enough B-Roll, there’s a bit of everything. I often seek for knowledge or refresher when I get a job (that’s often why I ended up writing those articles), and I’m thinking this might come handy to several of you.
The idea being that instead of having dozens of articles bookmarked, you can just archived this pdf and go back to it whenever needed. I hope you’ll find it useful, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
How to Use it: This is a document to open on a connected device, it archives the list of articles, and you need to click either on the article’s title or the ‘Click to Read More’ to open the full article. It is not meant to be printed (let’s save trees!)
