When you attend a festival, especially big ones, there are three types of filmmakers: those who got selected, those who didn’t but have something to show, and those who are working on something and hope to schmooze and find leverage to keep on moving forward.
When you are in the third category, what festivals should you attend? Does it make sense to go to Cannes?
