The Film Log #8: Who to “Network” With
A last minute change of plans in this week’s vlog topic (not that I usually have a plan) to talk about the obsession behind “networking”, meeting people that will prove valuable to us, and be seen as someone who might also be an asset.
We live on a tiny blue dot, and what comes around goes around. People you meet in one place and seem totally unrelated to what you do might pop up in another corner of the world and end up being the solution to a problem in ways you hadn’t foreseen.
Tim Ferriss talks about it in his list of tips to network at high profile festivals: don’t be an asshole, be genuinely kind.
My theory is that you should nurture your web analog or your analog web, whatever way it pleases you. And if you don’t know what that is, good news, I made a vlog:
