Answer From The Torino Film Lab (Film Log #14)
The Film Log is a weekly video I record to share my journey making my first feature film, In Five Years. In these videos, I share what I learn and discover as I go about all aspects of being a first time indie filmmaker in today’s changing landscape. You can find the full Film Log series here, and you can subscribe to the film’s newsletter
Answer From Our First Lab
I can’t think of a better story maker than Casey Neistat to remind me that every day, no matter what, you need to get in the trenches, and work your ass off. On the good days, and on the bad days. (And if you wonder why I am saying, watch the vlog below)
And then, Neil Gaiman will always be there to remind us to make good art.
In the video below, I talk about receiving the answer (which was *SPOILER* ‘no’) from the Torino Lab, and what it means.
No’s are like CO2, necessary, even though we can survive on them. So this is not a video about how hard it is to get a no, or how unfair it is I didn’t get in (I don’t see why it would be unfair, and certainly have no way to know) but rather about what I’ve learned during this month of growth between the Torino Lab application, and my latest application.
